Pakistan likely to gain 5th spot in ODI ranking

Today Pakistan will play last math of one day series with Sri Lanka in UAE and a win will help them to increase in ODI ranking from 6th to 5th place.
Pakistan and Sri Lankan are playing 5 matches ODI series in UAE and after 4 matches Pakistan is leading the series by 3-1. Pakistan is being considered favourite to win the today contest and if green shirts win the series by 4-1 than Pakistan will be placed at 5th position but 3-2 win in the series will bring no change for Pakistan in ODI Rankings and Pakistan will remain at sixth position.
At the moment Australia is leading in ODI rankings of International Cricket Council         (ICC) with 130 points, India with 118 points, South Africa 115, Sri Lanka 114 England 107 with points are in the ranting lists.
Before the beginning of the series Sri Lanka was on second spot with 119 points and Pakistan well down in the list with 101 points.

PPP MNA threatened hunger strike over brutal killing of shia hazara community , jungle law prevailing in Balochistan

ISLAMABAD: November 18, PPP MNA Syed Nasir Shah threatened of hunger strike and not to end his boycott of the National Assembly session unless he was given a solid roadmap to end sectarian killings in Quetta he demanded dissolution of provincial assembly of Balochistan as it appears from the deteriorating law and order situation after the killing of hundred of innocent people that Balochistan is under the jungle rule and he did not get positive response from PPP party members, PPP has been failed to provide relief to the masses.
Nasir Shah while talking to The Patriot on Thursday after his boycotting the second consecutive session of the National Assembly while sitting outside the Parliament House in protest against sectarian killings of Hazaras, a largely Shia community, in Quetta, he threatened hunger strike if his demands were not fulfilled. It is pertinent to mention that he has been demanding the dissolution of the provincial government in Balochistan which, in his view, has failed control law and order situation in the province.
Nasir Shah said that although Rehman Malik gave him assurance to stop the target killings of Hazara community but he do not enjoy the power to bring peace in the region as hundred of innocent people have been killed and not even a single culprit has been arrested yet.
Talking to the this scribe he said that anti-Pakistan elements were attacking the Shia community as a part of larger conspiracy as innocent have been killed like animals and law and order agencies have been failed to arrest a single culprit of Lashkar-e-Jhangvi a well known terrorist organization allegedly accepting the killings of innonet Hazara people. 
Syed Nasir Shah said Rehman Malik wanted him to end his boycott of the National Assembly session but he would do so only if he was given a clear and solid roadmap to end sectarian killings in Quetta, “Rehman Malik told me that he is going to Quetta and the situation will improve soon but can Rehman Malik going to Quetta bring peace?,” Nasir asked.
Lamenting the PPP government he said that it was so unfortunate for him to protest against his own political party but he was not left with any other option as despite of assurances from the government time and again still member of his tribe and constituency are being killed brutally.
Answering a question he said that he is not indulging in any anti-government lobby as he is taking stand on solid principles and it is his legitimate right to protest if his legitimate demands are not being fulfilled.

Inauguration of poetry book “Yeh Ishq Lahasil” held

ISLAMABAD:  Inaugural ceremony of a poetry book “Yeh Ishq Lahasil” by a young poet Capt Farid-u-Din was held in a local hotel here on Friday. The book received appreciation from various literary personalities and intellectuals and was considered a spanking new addition to Urdu literature.
According to details, Capt Farid-u-Din a District Management Group officer and currently Assistant Commissioner Islamabad launched the inaugural ceremony of his maiden poetry book. Dr Inamul Haq Javed was Chief Guest of the ceremony.
Inamul Haq Javed appreciated the effort of the poet and said everyday new words of English Language are being added to Urdu language and the poet has used skillfully common words of English language in his poetry, thus this book is a trend settler. He said there is no end to the process of learning and wished the poet more success in his future endeavours.
Prominent poets Tanha Yousafi, Anwarul Haq, Manzar Naqvi, and Anwar Zaidi also appreciated the poet and said he has modernized Urdu poetry.  These poets also recited their own poetry.
Farid-u-Din while addressing the participants said his poetry is the voice of his heart and he tried to present his true feelings therein. He said as he gets tired of humdrum life he finds time to write poetry to give expression to his hidden feelings.
Prominent people of the capital attended the ceremony including General Manager of Daily Pakistan Anayat Ullah Niazi. He appreciated the poetic effort made by the young poet. At the end of the ceremony a few singers sang a selection of ghazals from the book “Yeh Ishq Lahasil” and ceremony ended in a pleasant way.
